Background:
Demyx was known as number nine of Organization XIII. His job was simply to find Roxas, and bring him back. He tried endlessly, and still to no avail was able to coax "Roxas" - whom at the time was actually Sora - to come back to them. Eventually, he "died" at Sora's hand, falling on his knees and faded away as most nobodies do when their life was ended.
Demyx was, and still is, a slight sort of wimp. Defensive, maybe. Never judge by appearance, he said. He was tougher than he let on, and after taking the time to pull himself back together and place all the pieces of his memory back again, wandered throughout until coming upon a portal - he had not summoned it but it was there, wasn't it? - and it had seemed pretty good at the time. Hence, he found himself in Avoria.
